I’ve been getting a few questions on the blog recently on how to wear metallic colors during the daytime without looking out of season, too done up or like a left over Christmas tree. Above is a quick way to answer that question. The gold blouse is perfect because it has texture (foil-like) but it’s actually incredibly light (great for the warm weather). I tend to go for gold because it compliments my skin tone but silver would work well here too. The high-waisted pants give the overall look a sophisticated feel while the double strap /chunky heels add a chic retro feel. Lastly, paying homage to the beautifully light pastel colors of the summer, I finished my look with a mint green oversized clutch with bronze detail. The best thing about this look is that it transitions perfectly from day to night. Take it from work to drinks with friends.
